About My Town Tours In 1997 Tony Dodds saw the need for an ‘orientation’ city sights tour for tourists who came to Cairns. My Town Tours was the original City Sights tour and began as a half day tour with a small commuter bus.   The Cairns Tourist Association's Kamsler Award is Cairns' premier award for individuals in the tourism and hospitality industry. Within the first year of his tour operation, Tony won the inaugural Kamsler Award. He received his award for his genuine love for Cairns, his intimate knowledge of the city, good humour and desire to share the best of the city of Cairns with his passengers. Over the past 15 years, Tony has expanded his fleet of vehicles to fill the demand for tours, transfers and charters.
